Project Overview
Metal Building Solutions (MBS) provided the pre-engineered metal building system for the Patton Railway Service Building #3 Addition in Milton, Pennsylvania. This project involved a 26,666-square-foot building designed to expand rail service capabilities and support warehouse and logistics operations.
The building system was engineered to create an open, flexible interior environment, allowing for efficient material handling and operational flow. Designed for both truck and rail integration, the facility accommodates loading dock operations as well as a dedicated train car loading and unloading area, supporting high-volume industrial use.
The structure incorporates high-performance metal wall and roof systems with integrated insulation, along with a standing seam roof assembly to ensure durability, energy efficiency, and long-term weather protection. The building design also supports key operational features such as overhead doors, personnel access points, and dock-leveler areas to enhance day-to-day functionality.
Engineered to integrate with the existing facility, the building system accommodates structural tie-ins and modifications required for seamless expansion. Its design supports heavy-duty use, including compatibility with reinforced floor systems, loading areas, and rail-adjacent operations.
Metal Building Solutions worked closely with the construction team to deliver a complete, engineered building package tailored to the client’s specific operational needs. The result is a durable, low-maintenance structure designed to support efficient logistics, rail service operations, and long-term growth.
This project highlights MBS’s expertise in delivering pre-engineered metal building systems for complex industrial and rail-served facilities, providing reliable, high-performance solutions for demanding operational environments.
